Distribution Manager

Type: Full Time
Location: Southern NJ

Cape May Brewing Co. is looking for an experienced Distribution Manager who is interested in working in an environment that encourages quality, decision making, and teamwork. This role will be working in all aspects of operations and distribution out of our Southern NJ warehouse location.Responsible for managing the distribution operations and day-to-day functions of the wholesale beer distribution unit.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Manage and control all expenses attributable to operations, transportation/distribution of products, equipment utilization, and building/property
  • Oversee admin and warehouse operations

      • Assure optimum performance related to space utilization, inventory availability, and high levels of customer service

Requirements:

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States.
  • 5 years or more of Beer Distributor or equivalent industry experience highly preferred
  • Experience with Distribution software and WMS preferred
  • This position requires a results-driven focus and tenacious work ethic, with the drive, resolve, and urgency to do whatever it takes to accomplish specific goals.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills are a must.

Northeast NJ Sales

Type: Full-Time (40 hours a week)
Compensation: Salary & Commission
Location: Northeast New Jersey

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Represent Cape Beverage at on and off-premise accounts in Northeast / Central NJ, with a major focus on Cape May Brewing Company products, with the possibility of an expanding portfolio in the future
  • Build & execute Weekly, Monthly, Quarterly Plans to achieve Annual Market Goals.
  • Develop and maintain strategic relationships with key retailers.
  • Build distribution points and brand awareness in targeted retail accounts.
  • Represent distributor at festivals, dinners, off-premise tastings, and all events.
  • Able to work some nights & weekends to promote products at retail & trade events
  • Manage POS & execute marketing strategy throughout the territory.
  • Compiles lists of prospective customers for use as sales leads
  • Keep abreast of competitive activity, pricing, and new entries into market.

Requirements:

Brand Ambassador / Sampling Person

Type: Part-time

Cape Beverage is seeking a professional, reliable, enthusiastic Brand Ambassador to join our growing beverage distribution company. In this role, you will serve as the face and voice our lead brand, Cape May Brewing Co., by helping build brand recognition and successfully promoting the product and brand.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Brewed in Cape May, Cape May Brewing is crafted with higher quality ingredients and the spirit of the Jersey Cape.
  • This emerging beer brand is in search of a vibrant, energetic, and friendly individual to join its growing sales team. As a Cape Beverage Brand Ambassador, you will represent Cape May Brewing Co. in the field, directly liaising with consumers and accounts alike with the goal of increasing both brand awareness and sales in the New Jersey and Philadelphia region.  Must be passionate about craft beer, sales, and, of course, people!
  • Multiple part-time positions are open in the Philadelphia and New Jersey areas, with potential for full-time employment.
  • The Brand Ambassador will help support and ensure the execution of key retail sales-driving initiatives for Cape Beverage in independent and chain accounts throughout New Jersey and Philadelphia areas.

Responsibilities:

  • Produce sampling activations at key off-premise accounts
  • Proactively network and gain the trust of potential customers and partners
  • Understand our products and services; fully inform potential customers
  • Deliver and help set up promotional materials at key accounts
  • Capture qualitative data from events
  • Provide feedback to the marketing and sales departments regarding customers’ insights and questions

General Manager

Type: Full Time
Location: Cape May, NJ

Cape Beverage is currently seeking a qualified individual to serve as General Manager. Recently separated from Cape May Brewing Company -- one of the largest breweries in the state with over seven years of self-distribution experience -- this new company will be distributing all of CMBC’s products as well as those of several other breweries looking to gain a foothold in New Jersey. This is a unique opportunity to join a new and innovative route to market for brewers.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Manage day to day operations of a New Jersey statewide wholesaler
  • Oversee sales, marketing, supplier relations and operations as a department and entrepreneurial leader
    • Establish Volume / KPI targets for each assigned direct report and appropriately manage the execution of these monthly KPIs. This includes, but is not limited to, feedback/coaching, corrective counseling, and performance reviews.
